Delete my account
You can delete your MarketSafe account at any time, here or in the app. It takes effect straight away.

What we delete
- Your name, email address, cellphone number, password and profile photo.
- All your listings, and every photo and video you uploaded.
- Your saved items, every place you’re logged in, and when you last used MarketSafe.
- The records of your ID check. We never kept your ID number itself.
What stays, without your name
- Messages you already sent stay in the other member’s chat, because they’re part of their conversation too. They show as from a “Former member”.
- Reviews and reports stay the same way, so other members can still trust them.
- Whether you signed up on our app or our website, and when you first used the app. We only count these as totals.
If there’s an open report about you, your listings or your messages, or your ID check is waiting for our team, we keep what that needs until it’s settled: your listings (hidden from everyone) and the one-way code of your ID number. Read more in our Privacy policy.
Before you delete
- Finish or cancel any deal you’re busy with, and let the other member know in the chat.
- Deleting can’t be undone. To use MarketSafe again later, you’ll sign up and do the checks again.
- Is your account suspended or banned? Then you can’t log in to delete it. Contact us and we’ll handle your request.
- Only want to stop seeing a listing or a chat? Delete the listing from My listings instead.
